ROSE GARDEN
I've searched for roses to preparate you a way Where you could repose your steps on, Where you could be light and home again, So that you could smile only at me; And we would say never goodbye; You would taste the sun and the stars, And count whatever ways they'd describe, in the skies And in the light of your eyes.
I looked for being near, even when time Turned days in years, ages of dark, Of struggles, pain; Nothing would remain from the moment you'd be back, In front of my eyes, on the touch of my arms, In my caress, embrace.
I've seeded an entire garden with flowers Like your soul has taught me once; It's not by the force that we may win a battle, But it's with strength inside the heart that we may not lose the war.
Your eyes follow me wherever I go, Your hands can hold the weight of my fears And cast them away on the shore of nothingness, Only by the remembrance of your smile, together, you and I, in the rose garden of our lives.
