In Brown and smile
You, in brown and using the light of your eyes; You, behind a smile that sent me to the stars; You, who protected me against the no-feeling; You, whom I remember from the land of dreams...,
And, when I wake up, you are there again; And, when I loose faith, your certainty remains; And, when I think I've lost your track, Your signals reach me out, and I find me in your way.
Crossed fingers, make a wish to be our destinies forever; Crossed roads, it's marked a place to be us both, together; Crossed names, beyond lifetime and more one day; Could you be the same even when life has gotten us away?
I still remember the smile that thrilled me inside; I still hold the feelings from a time of sun and light; I still remember the fields and the flowers when you were by my side.
Still a mystery… Who has the key for the feelings and the fates? That soft flower, so lonely, rose and delicate; Do you remember its petals whose color has once surprised your face?
Only the red of sunset and the days that pass by; Only the purple of evening and the nights that blow the time; Only the memory of the green of your eyes and a Destiny that keeps itself hidden between the lines. The first words are the most difficult ones, The last ones are the hardest and saddest words; Why didn't I have never written them for you before?... Perhaps, once started, it may reach the day of all words run out of...
Notwithstanding, I lay down these mysteries on the lines; Nevertheless, the words overflow and I don't feel like stooping 'em; Cause, therefore, they can't be shut up anymore; And you, in brown and behind a smile less bright than are you; Will live forever in my mind, my heart and my soul.
